The fair TIAF2000 is Canada's major annual fine art fair for galleries and dealers, focusing on the exhibition and sale of modern and contemporary artwork. The TIAF2000 Advisory Committee will select approximately one hundred galleries and dealers with an established reputation in the international art scene, as well as emerging young galleries to participate in this event. The selection will be consistent with strict internationally recognized standards of quality, in terms of participants, the work exhibited and presentation.

In addition, a comprehensive public relations program with the media, museums, federal and local governments, and the local art community, will create excitement and momentum.

Toronto International Art Fair - TIAF2000 is produced by Western Exhibitors Events Ltd. and Venue Productions Inc., the producers of Vancouver International Art Fair and other successful events. In collaborative efforts with the TIAF Dealer Advisory Committee, the producers will use their experience and resources to present a fair of outstanding quality, attendance and critical recognition.
TIAF2000 will be launched by the Preview Gala, a benefit for the Art Gallery of Ontario. A selected group of art collectors and buyers will be invited along with media and other luminaries for an exclusive evening of viewing and dining delights including cocktails, and dinner buffet.
