Living and working in Vienna

Group show. The exhibition addresses the situation of 'art in Vienna' and questions the nature of what currently passes for the intellectual-cultural climate in the city. This external view is directed towards artistic currents, positions and concepts of the young and middle generation and reflects on the vivid artistic field in Vienna.

Group show

“Living and working in Vienna” was a show in 2001/2002 where an international team of curators selected 26 contemporary artists who either live in the city or whose works deal with the subject of Vienna. Now a second edition of the exhibition will again address the situation of "art in Vienna" and question the nature of what currently passes for the intellectual-cultural climate in the city. This external view is directed towards artistic currents, positions and concepts of the young and middle generation and reflects on the vivid artistic field in Vienna.
