A three-day screening of 35mm films by: Liam Gillick, Dominique Gonzales-Foerster, Pierre Huyghe, Philippe Parreno, Charles de Meaux, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, and others. Anna Sanders Films is the name of a film production company based in Paris, founded in 1997 by Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Pierre Huyghe, Charles de Meaux and Philippe Parreno. It has blazed a trail for a new breed of cinema that oscillates between document and fiction, between image and memory.

German premiere of ANNA SANDERS FILMS at Kunstverein München

A three-day screening of 35mm films by:

Liam Gillick, Dominique Gonzales-Foerster, Pierre Huyghe, Philippe Parreno, Charles de Meaux, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, and others.

Anna Sanders Films is the name of a film production company based in Paris, founded in 1997 by Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Pierre Huyghe, Charles de Meaux and Philippe Parreno. Anna Sanders Films has blazed a trail for a new breed of cinema that oscillates between document and fiction, between image and memory.

The screening of Anna Sanders Films at Kunstverein München (8 until 10 July 2005) will comprise all 35mm films produced by Anna Sanders since 1997. On Sunday, 10 July at 5 pm Agnieszka Kurant (curator, London) will be giving a lecture on the aesthetics and economy of Anna Sanders Films. Besides Kunstverein München Anna Sanders Films will also be presented at ICA, London; MoMA, New York, and at Kunstwerke, Berlin.

The productions of Anna Sanders Films have been awarded numerous prizes, among others: Un Certain Regard, Cannes 2002; The Critics Award, International Film Festival Rotterdam, 2003; Great Award of the Jury, Cannes 2004. In 2002 Pierre Huyghe was also awarded the Hugo Boss Prize of the Guggenheim Museum, New York and Dominique Gonzales-Foerster the Duchamp Prize, Paris.
