The Flag Project

An on-going work that invites individuals and groups to accept or reject the implications of creating a flag. It is made up of flags, banners and posters - formats that depict individual or group messages - and captures a diversity of meanings and messages that are embraced by the form of the flag.
The Flag Project is an on-going work that invites individuals and groups to accept or reject the implications of creating a flag. It is made up of flags, banners and posters - formats that depict individual or group messages - and captures a diversity of meanings and messages that are embraced by the form of the flag. The Flag Project has been inspired by the neighbourhood of Bethnal Green and its’ divergent populations. Taking individual and group flags and hanging them in the premises of 254, The Flag Project re-interprets their original contexts and creates a conglomeration of signs and symbols.
