Autumn. The artist genuinely captures this season when the leaves change color and are blown from their branches, allowing bits of the sky to peak through. His large canvases, completed 'en plein air' help the viewer to experience his work as though they were there in the landscape. He mixes own pigment using only primary colors which he applies to the canvas with cement trowels and occasionally a palette knife.
