Felicia Atkinson et Elise Ladoue' (Association Gingembre), a Parisian duo with Lo-Fi Spirit / Multisensory mix of image, sound, and music.
Like LO-FI, as opposed to hi-fi, the artists use in this exhibition simple and “poor" medium such as paper, wool, fabric, tape... The objects are rustic and fragile like LICHEN. Similarly, they clutch on the surfaces, and slowly cover the whole area. Like a human sentiment, they are fragile, could be destroyed almost instantly but would grow again only very slowly.
In the gallery, around the lo-fi drawings of Felicia Atkinson, you will discover a site-specific installation made of wool, a vide'o aquatique realized with Elise Ladoue', as well as a surrounding sound, Roman Anglais, to which the musician Sylvain Chauveau (DSA, Fat Cat) collaborated.
L’Association Gingembre is a dynamic unit made up of Elise Ladoue' and Felicia Atkinson. The duo expresses its sensitivity through several media: drawing, sound, installations, dance and video. Each technique has its own specific constraints, exploiting the presence or the absence of the body and is a different sensory experiment. The artists physically disappear behind their drawings for better reappearing in their performance.
