Silly Landscape

The independent art institution M21 demonstrates the results of its Russian experience showing the development of «Silly Landscape», which forms the backdrop for silly explorations of cultural space and identity of the behind -Ural territory. Artists: Ivan Averkin, Marina Fetisova, Lena Lapschina, Slavjan Mizin, Kostjan Skotnikov, Sergej Vladykin.

The project includes photo series «Snow Rhapsody», «Eurasian Picnic»,
«..some things that long time do not exist..», installation «My Little
Secret», videoart M21, minimonumental sculpture-objects.

Presentation of the Project:
The Influence Of Alcoholic Drinks
On The Social Intercourse Of Intelligentsija
This project, created for the Cesta Arts Festival 2001 should
demonstrate the process of intellectual discourse. Persons from the
art-world: artists, curators, theoret. etc. have to sit (as usual) in a
comfortable atmosphere by the bottle of vodka and something small to
eat, having a discussion about the ways of developing of contemporary
art, what to do, how to do this and if somebody needs to do it at all? [
That means: visitors find themself in a situation, which looks very
familiar to them, but nevertheless they suddenly become part of a
serious discussion, which otherwise they would never have attended.]
