Plunge into a sea of contemporary art at the wide ranging "art bodensee" exhibition at Dornbirn. What makes "art bodensee" special is that it is the only art fair that takes place in the middle of summer, the only art fair where you can chat to gallery owners and artists, the only art fair held in a rural area, the only art fair with such a friendly atmosphere, and the only art fair in the region where the four countries meet - Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Austria.
"art bodensee", which takes place this year from 28 to 30 July, is now in its sixth year at the Dornbirn exhibition centre. Fifty galleries will be offering work for sale by the 300 artists they represent. A further plus point of this unique summer art fair is a new emphasis on graphics this year, instigated by Klaus Bode from Nuremberg. In addition, the awarding of the art sponsoring prize "Maecenas" and co-operation with numerous art institutions in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein are well on track.
