Hales Gallery is pleased to present 'A Record of Events': adaptations of participatory projects. In three of these projects there is an equal collaboration between Tomoko Takahashi and one other artist. The three artists are: Rupert Carey, Simon Faithfull and Angus Leadley-Brown.

Tomoko Takahashi and one other artist. The three artists are: Rupert Carey, Simon Faithfull and Angus Leadley-Brown.
Takahashi is known chiefly for her installations. What is not always appreciated is
that at the heart of her work is the notion of openness, of the connections
between people and hence of participation and collaboration.
All the projects in
this show are adapted from the artist's documentation of the original events and
installations, which all date from 2000 or 2001.
