From 7 July.
IN TRANSIT brings together the work of Claire Findlay and John Green for the
first time. Both are recent graduates in sculpture from Duncan of
Jordanstone College of Art (2000 & 1999 respectively).
Claire Findlay uses everyday materials such as paper and wool along with
textural materials like pipecleaners, beeswax and metal casts to build
assemblages, which relate specifically to the spaces they occupy. John Green
creates highly structured pieces of varying scale and format using
postcards, cardboard and other basic materials.
In the exhibition the artists will be showing new and existing individual
works as well as new, collaborative pieces made specifically for the gallery
space. The work will inhabit the walls and floor of the gallery as well as
other unexpected corners of the building.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday 11am - 5pm
