August DanceFestival is relaxing experience for the participants and audience. And on a top of that - fantastic historical Tallinn old town and sea! Most of the performances are taking place at the Von Krahl Theatre in the center of Tallinn old town The program is presenting worldwide known choreographers as well as young emerging creators.

choreographers as well as young emerging creators.
August DanceFestival will
be one of the major culture events not only in Estonia, but also in the whole
region, in Autumn 2001.
Preliminary program for 2001 includes: Yoshiko
Chuma (USA) with dancers and musicians from USA, Ireland, Russia and
Estonia; S.P.A. (Estonia); Douglas Dunn (USA); Xavier Le Roy (Germany);
Staffan Eek (Sweden); Cantabile 2 (Denmark); Hooman Sharifi (Norway);
Bak-Truppen (Norway); Raido Mägi & Mart Kangro (Estonia); Tim Feldman
(Denmark).

The main projects
for August DanceFestival 2001 will be US-Irish-Estonian-Russian co-production
by New York choreographer Yoshiko Chuma "WHAT'S UP?" Reverse Psychology
