Olafur Eliasson's installation, conceived for the windows in
MoMA's Garden Hall, investigates sensorial perception in
relationship to architecture, more specifically the dialogue
between inside and outside. It also addresses the shifting
nature of the Museum, which is currently undergoing major
renovation and expansion. Fifty sheets of striped
transparent and mirrored glass extend over the first and
second floors, creating a mesmerizing visual experience.
Organized by Roxana Marcoci, Janice H. Levin Fellow/Curatorial Assistant, Department of Painting and Sculpture, and Claudia
Schmuckli, Curatorial Assistant, Department of Chief Curator at Large.
