Nanne Meyer

"Do I miss the rest of the world?". She does so since 20 years, also in bound and plain books (so called dummies) which compass between 250 and 600 pages. All together there are 18 books with over 6.000 pages until today in which Meyer grasps thoughts, photos from newspapers, dreams, snippets of conversations, single words or the beginning of one line - all of that meant to be starting points for drawings. In comparison to other sketchbooks, in which normally works are prepared, Meyer uses this medium for independent and self-contained drawings. They are a reservoir of thousands of ideas with which one could fill serveral exhibition halls.
