Naturally gifted with a keen observation of everyday life and the cultural, social, political and religious landscape, Torres's art embodies a rich imagination and is laced with social commentary and a soulful interpretation of everyday life. His work was initially influenced by comic books as a child, and later Hollywood horror films and westerns. He works with oil, acrylic, mixed media, ink and dry mediums.
