La galleria Post Design è lieta di ospitare dal prossimo 27 Febbraio, la mostra Ron Arad “seats…and more”.
Verrà presentata un’istallazione che prevede una selezione di sedie “Blo Void” e “Oh Void”, in edizioni limitate, in differenti versioni e colori. Realizzate in alluminio anodizzato lucido e lamiera intrecciata, queste sedute sono caratterizzate da forme uniche, concave, convesse, vuote e piene, di vari colori e sfumature cromatiche ottenute grazie ad uno speciale processo segreto di colorazione.

Le “Blo Void” e le “Oh Void” già esposte nelle più note gallerie del mondo, fanno anche parte delle collezioni permanenti di importanti musei, fra cui lo Stedelijk Museum di Amsterdam, il Centre Georges Pompidou di Parigi, il Vitra Design Museum di Weil am Rhein (Germany), il Design Museum di Ghent.
Continua così la collaborazione con Ron Arad, iniziata con la prima mostra “Ron Arad” nel dicembre 2004, che vede Memphis distributore esclusivo per l’Italia di questi prodotti.

Attivo a Londra da più di 30 anni, Ron Arad è nato a Tel Aviv nel 1951. Terminati i suoi studi all’Accademia d’Arte di Gerusalemme (1971 – 73), si è trasferito a Londra. Nel 1981 insieme a Caroline Thorrman ha fondato lo studio “One Off Ltd.”, e nel 1989 ha creato la Ron Arad associati. Ha insegnato design alla Hochschule di Vienna dal 1994 al 1997 ed è attualmente direttore del dipartimento di design al Royal College of Art di Londra

The gallery Post Design is pleased to host from next 27 February the exhibition Ron Arad “seats…and more”.
An installation will be exhibited with a selection of “Blo Void” and “Oh Void” seats, in limited edition, of different versions and colours. Made of polished anodized aluminum welded to woven aluminum mesh fabric, these seats are featured by unique forms: some are concave, others convex, some have voids and other don’t and are made in various tints and colours achieved by a special secret tinting process.

The “Blo Void” and “Oh Void” series, already presented in the most important galleries worldwide, are also included in the permanent exhibitions of major museums like Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein (Germany), Design Museum in Ghent.
Thus, the collaboration between Memphis and Ron Arad continues. It started with the exhibition “Ron Arad” back in December 2004. And Memphis will continue to be the sole distributor of these products in Italy.

Active in London for more than 30 years, Ron Arad was born in Tel Aviv in 1951. After studying at the Jerusalem Academy of Art (1971-73), he moved to London to study at the Architectural Association in London (1974-79). In 1981, Ron Arad and Caroline Thorrman co-founded the design studio “One Off Ltd.,” and in 1989 they established 'Ron Arad Associates'. He was professor of Design at the Hochschule in Vienna from 1994 to 1997 and is currently head of the Design Products Department at the Royal College of Art in London.
