Organised by the EUROPEAN MEDIA ART FESTIVAL and with an international cast of
avant-garde artists VEEJAY-GROOVE is expected to be ground breaking in club culture. From 14
April to 12 May the EUROPEAN MEDIA ART FESTIVAL presents innovative media art and dance
floor projects in four major events in Amsterdam, Osnabrück, Wilhelmshaven and Berlin.
Interactive presence (web-site, Internet television) and a three-hour television documentary by
the German television station N3 will accompany the events.
Something is happening in the European clubs. Instead of light shows, laser, strobes and spots,
so called visuals play an increasingly important role. Via video beamers, film projectors and
computer animation VJs create virtual spaces in Paris, London, Amsterdam and Berlin. They offer
night owls of these capitals the new soundtrack of techno beat, as well as an expanding cinema
of the new millennium.
The avantgarde status of VJ culture is nowhere more present than in Holland. That is why
VEEJAY-GROOVE will start off on 14 April in the "Melkweg". (More information at earth-link)
DJ PER and DJ SAMDER from Amsterdam and DJ ROWAN BLADES (Breeder, UK),
PARKS & WILSON (Tilt, UK) and HOOJ CHOONS from London together with the cult VJ
NOG HARDER from Rotterdam will give an audiovisual performance.
