...AND TAKEN TO A SECRET LOCATION?
(PITTSBURGH)... Were you blindfolded and taken to a secret location on August 10, 2001, as part of the Mattress Factory's Music, Improv, Noise, Art series?
If so, on December 21, 2001, from 7-10 p.m. find out what was happening on the other side of the blindfold with the video documentation of "Circumsubstantial Playing & Blindfolded Tourism."
The video will explain the entire experience of the evening and provide further information about where tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE took 70 blindfolded people.
tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE and friends will also debut a 30-minute documentary, "Think Tank VIII: Automobile: Re:Vision: Saab Story". In June of this year, for two weeks, a group lived in a small former transformer building without a roof and disassembled a Saab to build musical instruments out of the parts. They performed with the instruments in a few locations, including the Mattress Factory's Garden.
The evening will also include a performance by Guitarists Anonymous. In addition to tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE two other noted guitar addicts will participate: Daryl Fleming (formerly of "Watershed 5tet") and Greg Pierce (formerly of "Wa shinakereba, Narimaseng").
Tickets are $5 and free for members of the Mattress Factory.
