David Docherty
Managing Director, Broadband Content
Telewest
David Docherty is MD Broadband Content at Telewest. Previously he was
Director of New Services and Deputy Director of Television at the BBC, where
he was a member of the Board of Management.
David Docherty's name pops up in virtually every list of likely candidates
for top jobs in British Television, but what David spends his time
speculating about is how to harmonise the gaming and television cultures.
In his crusade to make the television industry dinosaurs listen to the next
generation, he is not asking them to follow each new trend, but rather to
learn from creative minds raised with a different aesthetic. In this way
Broadband content will be able to move out of the three "ings" of
interactive media, as he describes them "voting, betting, and masturbating."
Tickets are free, if you would like to attend this event please email.
