Künstlerhaus Bethanien has invited the Centre of Attention to present its work in Berlin. The Centre of Attention Magazine which features works, words and images from past shows will be shown on Sunday 13 January 2002 from 7 p.m. The Centre of Attention is a young London-based contemporary art gallery. Its curatorial independence is quite unique in that it is not commercial; nor is it sponsored or supported by any state organisation.

The Centre of Attention Magazine, the second issue, is a video edition
featuring works, words and images from past shows including Oreet Ashery,
Franko B, Carlos Bayala, Mel Brimfield, Luke Caulfield, Claire Heathcote,
Katharina Heilein, Eric Heist, Sebastian Hempel, Jasper Joffe, Wawa Kosugi,
Josie McCoy, Shaheen Merali, Gary O'Dwyer, Genesis P-Orridge, Catherine
Rive, Carly Rogers, June Sira, Leon Steele, George Toth, Markus Vater,
Emily Wardill, Liu Zheng.
Künstlerhaus Bethanien: 'Located in a huge 19th-century complex of former
hospital buildings, this Berlin institution was originally squatted in the
1970s and back then hosted alternative art and theatre. These days it
offers studio residencies to foreign artists; USA, Europe, Russia and Japan
are often represented (Bruce McLean was one of numerous
artists-in-residence to work here) and both Sweden and Australia have
permanent studio programmes.'Time Out
