The goal of the Culture Program is to contribute to the renewal, development and integration of the different spheres of Russian and American Culture in the context of Global Culture. The programs encourage experimentation, qualitative innovation, co-operation among the various Russian ethnic and minority cultures, and creative contacts with Western and Eastern cultures.
These program blocks comprise the programs of Cultural Infrastructures, Performing Arts, and the Soros and Paul Getty Centers for Contemporary Arts. Jointly with the Publishing Program, presentation of Russian Culture was undertaken at the East-West festival in Die (France). A wide variety of attractions was offered to the visitors of that festival, from folk crafts to publishing. Over 500 American Artists , teachers and students participated in that 26-day event.
