Luso-Phonia

¿Te Suena Poblenou? (Ever heard of Poblenou?) is a series of activities combining art and sound taking place in Poblenou's different spaces. Sound installations, an exhibition, sound workshops, performances and live music, make up a program that lasts from September to December 2008.

Developing several ideas related to sonority, with particular reference to its Luso-Afro-Brasilian origins, its social imaginary and its diversity of expression in post-colonialist European culture, Luso-Phonia seeks to promote and develop knowledge and exchange between Portugal and Catalonia, by investing in the interconnection between the two countries’ cultural players : artists, specialists, musicians, radio and television stations, festivals and cultural markets.

From November 7, 2008, and lasting a whole month, a sound and art itinerary will be hosted in various Poblenou spaces: HANGAR, Can Felipa, El Niu, Espai Ubu, La Fundació.
