The Comedy of life
Artistic installation between photography and oil painting.
For his first time ever, the international painter Armonia is presenting an installation at the VERNON art Gallery of Prague, together with photos, to showcase his ever present women under a new angle of analysis.
Photographs are taken from various internet websites as a "instants of daily life" and linked to paintings as "filtered and interpreted images". What the artist wants to showcase is the balance between the public and the private worlds of each person. Additionally, Armonia is discussing the real versus the virtual world in the society.
These pictures are intimates, but public and real, through the virtual windows of You tube and other websites.
The parallel with his paintings are a questioning on who we are, who we would like to be, our vanity and the masks imposed to live in society. It is in specific the women conditions between their appearance and their inner being. Interesting to notice on this respect the ways Armonia is portraying different ways of wearing masks:
-Tattoos (as per his previous collection "urban flowers" where young people use external clichés and tattoos to feel protected)
-Fashion accessories (felt as vanity through his chicken's interpretation?)
-Traditional dresses : through his use of a personalized hiyab portraying classic figures of Salomé and Minotaur used to represent uncovered strength or aggressivity of who cover himself through this veils.
The whole installation is showing the difficult in everyday life to fully live our life, between our multiple inner faces and the acceptance of the community where we live. Complex but so daily and human.
