A Life and Legacy. Exhibition and series of events dedicated to the memory of the explorer
A Life and Legacy. Exhibition and series of events dedicated to the memory of the explorer, presented on the occasion of the publication of the book by Idanna Pucci. Unlike his rival Stanley, this legendary 19th century explorer - Italian born and French educated - rejected the racism of his age, embracing the Congolese people with respect and equality. Like no other white colonial, Brazza fought to his last breath for the rights of Africans. His legacy distinguished a humanism so unique that Brazzaville, capital of the Republic of Congo, still bears his name.
