promosso dal Comitato Trieste Contemporanea
con il patrocinio di Jan Figel, Membro della Commissione Europea, responsabile per Educazione, Istruzione, Cultura e Gioventù

Nell’Anno Europea della Creatività e dell’Innovazione 2009, l’incontro, al quale prenderanno parte una settantina di esperti provenienti da 27 paesi, vuole indagare come i curatori d’arte contemporanea ridefiniscono il ruolo dell’arte nella produzione di significati (visivi) in relazione al nuovo uso strumentale delle immagini create per la mediazione e la trasmissione.

L’edizione 2009 prevede inoltre una sezione speciale dedicata ai curatori d’arte contemporanea dei paesi dell’Asia Centrale. Questa particolare iniziativa è resa possibile grazie alla collaborazione di Beral Madra, commissario del Padiglione dell’Asia centrale alla Biennale di Venezia.
