Un numero speciale dedicato a Edmund Husserl
SITE 26-27 celebrates the 150th birthday of Edmund Husserl, with a translation of his legendary 1907 letter to Hugo von Hofmannsthal on the possibility of a pure art and a pure phenomenology, and an essay by Nicholas Smith on the importance of time and temporality in phenomenology. The issue also contains essays on Jeff Wall and David Clearbout, by Bert Vanderbusssche, and on Robert Smithson's criticism, by Lars-Erik Hjerstrom Lappalainen, and a special art project by Carl Michael von Hausswolff. The special section is devoted to the legacy of Manfredo Tafuri, the Venice School, and the possibility of a critical theory in architecture today, with essays by Rixt Hoekstra, Pier Vittorio Aureli, and Andrew Leach. Presentation of the magazine from 16 to 21.
