This large exhibition of works from the collection presents Swiss art form Albert Anker to Robert Zund. The main focus is on 40 works by Albert Anker, around whose idealistic realism are grouped romantic and symbolist portrayals of landscape and life in 19th century Switzerland. In addition, history paintings convey an image of the emerging national consciousness in the young Federal State. Curated by Matthias Frehner, Simon Oberholzer (assistant).
