Eagle under construction
Like her previous works Katja Pfeiffer`s current installation “eagle under construction” deals with the Spaces inside the gallery.
In her first exhibition in the new space she reacts to the conspicuous alley between the two main rooms. A filigree formation is placed in the visitor’s way. Lattices apparently fall into place to a cage-like architecture, in whose interior space something seems to be captured.
Pfeiffer Ingenious statifies plates to a seemingly spatial object. Beeing painting and sculpture in the same time the work is oscillating between two – and three-dimensionality.
Archaic structures contrasting with the transparency of acrylic glass. In spite of the voluminous dimension the lattices seems easily floating in the space.
Within this exhibition Pfeiffer extends her formal repertoire about the game with transparency, but also sticks with the already shown principle of layering and collage.
The installation is completed by reliefs at the wall and paperwork’s which are engaged in the same question.
