Handel House Museum
Discover the Museum through individually designed activity packs. Smell the smells of the eighteenth century, identify the materials used in the House and paintings, try a magnetic puzzle of a Handel manuscript, help a painter decide what a sitter should wear for a new portrait. Handling Handel follow up activities available from the shop. Suitable for 6 - 12 year olds.

Free with admission. No need to book.

JUBILEE EVENT: Kind Hearts and Coronets - Patronage and Coronations Swendenborg Hall, 20/21 Bloomsbury Way, WC1

An exciting day which celebrates the Jubilee in Royal style. Robert King, Director of the King's Consort, introduces the Coronation of George II following his acclaimed representation of the music, and Christine Riding, Curator at Tate Britain, explores the Coronation Ceremony and the image of Kingship through art. Nicholas Bell from the British Library looks at the Royal Music Library bequeathed to George III. Professor Donald Burrows discusses Royal Patronage of Music and Sebastian Edwards, Deputy Curator at the Historic Royal Palaces, looks at Patronage of the Arts under the early Hanoverians.

£40 including lunch & wine (£20 students excl. lunch)

JUBILEE EVENT: Coronation Sing Along
St George's Hanover Sq Church
Tube: Oxford Circus

Come and join in the celebration by singing the anthems Handel composed for George II's Coronation. Includes the thrilling Zadok the Priest. Conducted by Laurence Cummings, Music Director of the London Handel Festival, with instrumentalists from the Royal Academy of Music. Scores provided.

£8 (£6 concs and Westminster Rescard)

JUBILEE EVENT: Jazz Coronation
Fayre in the Square, Berkeley Sq

A performance of the coronation anthems with a difference. The culmination of a composition project led by jazz musician Paul Griffiths in which children from All Souls Primary School perform their own versions of Handel's music.

No tickets needed, just turn up.

In association with Westminster Jubilee Week.
