Hold Your Breath is a 17 minute black and white film based on Sigmund Freud's case history 'The Wolf-Man: From the History of an Infantile Neurosis'. The film tells the story of a five year old boy Sergei, whose enigmatic character is transformed one summer when he develops a phobia (Fear) of animals, in particular wolves. The film explores the origins of Sergei's phobia in relation to his emerging sexual curiosity. The screening of the film is accompanied in the upper galleries by a series of related film drawings.
