curated by the project directors Birgit Effinger and Hannah Kruse.
For the twentieth anniversary of the Goldrausch artists’ project - a professional development course for
female artists-, this year’s scholarship recipients, will have a presence in the Gallery District near
Checkpoint Charlie for the first time. The galleries September and Barbara Thumm are showing works
by the fifteen international artists selected for the Goldrausch Scholarship.
To be discovered under the title GLASS CRASH FEELING are works that demonstrate new trends in
sculpture, installation, and performance, in photographic pictorial stagings, films, and large-format
tableaux. GLASS CRASH FEELING reflects a post-feminist scenario in which the obstacle of the “glass
ceiling” is surmounted.

The Goldrausch artists’ project makes it possible for outstanding young female artists to acquire
knowledge relevant to their profession through a network environment. Discussions with curators and
visits to studios, but also workshops on tax and copyright laws, project management, and public
relations work, shine light on various aspects of the artist profession.
Information on events currently running in the scope of the exhibition can be found under
http://www.goldrausch-kuenstlerinnen.de, as can links to the websites of the individual artists.
The Berlin publishing house argobooks is issuing 15 catalogues in an exclusive catalogue box, one per
artist, with each book having been created in individual collaboration with graphic designers.
The exhibition is being organized by the Goldrausch Frauennetzwerk Berlin e.V. and funded by the
Senatsverwaltung für Wirtschaft, Technologie und Frauen and the esf.
