Wayne County, MI, - The Wayne County Council for Arts, History & Humanities
is pleased to announce the Fourth Annual "Wayne
County - The Artists Among Us Exhibition." Artists Among Us is unique in a
number of ways. First, as a traveling exhibit it will stop at four premiere
exhibition venues in Wayne County through for maximum exposure to the
public. Secondly, Artists Among Us is an extraordinary ARTnership features
collaborations between visual artists, poets and musicians. Here's how it
works: top Wayne County poets and musicians will perform works inspired by
the juried artworks during each of the receptions. The schedule of
Receptions, which are free and open to the public, is listed below. Last
month was the kickoff reception at the Padzieski Art Gallery in Dearborn.
The evening was nothing short of magical and others promise more of the
same. This exhibition is sponsored in part by the County of Wayne, the
Department of Cultural Affairs in Detroit and the Michigan Council for the
Arts and Cultural Affairs.
