This December 15th artist Carolina Lopez- Bohorquez will display recent paintings from a body of work called Evolution in her first solo exhibition. Lopez Bohorquez, a native of Bogota' Colombia who has resided in Florence for 11 years, draws from her South American heritage as a means to underline the importance of color in her artistic practice. The viewer is drawn to the surface of the canvas, where intricate marks and gestures are etched into layer upon layer of paint and material, which connects us to the physical act of painting. Opening december 15th at 5 pm.
