The artist's work clearly shows the ambiguous relationship with the truth of the photographic medium. In his most recent works, Zavattieri shows us how in reality what we see is what we want to see.
Curated by Jorge Lopez
"Depopulated the universe of alien gods, but with this organismic hypothesis a new entity is created: the collective unconscious, resulting in a new reification, that is, the conversion of an idea into an entity with its own nature"
Ignacio Cabria García
Sergio Zavattieri began to work and experiment with photography in 1997 during his studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Palermo and the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Since the beginning of his career, his work clearly shows the ambiguous relationship with the truth of the photographic medium. In his most recent works, like the series Botánica or the previous The Ancient Romans Portfolio, Sergio shows us how in reality what we see is what we want to see. http://www.sergiozavattieri.com
