To see the world from the woman's view.
While Artist Sin-Young An reads a newspaper she felt herself as a female artist who is a powerless in front of the unfortunate reality of our present world which is the main theme of her recent works.
In her conceptual representation work, she paints routine portrayal of women in today’s society performing such mundane tasks as peeling garlic or cutting nails over the background of a newspaper and it represents what we are facing to the issues of unfortunate matters from the newspapers and media but we accept as a reality and other passed realties in the everyday life
Hidden within is the pain and confusion of the victims of sexual abuse!
Through this exhibition, artist Steven Cavallo represents his latest oil painting series. In his painting he describes people concealing their pain, their shame and the horrors of their past behind masks as they struggle through everyday life, trying to fit into society.
Visions of these victims and the dark and painful wounds of the past are now hidden, but traces of their pain surface from time to time. The pain remains as evidence that we can not deny this reality exists.
Artists Daehyeok Sim features beautiful fascinating still Life piece.
The biggest reason why his work fascinates the viewers is his expression in the landscape which inherent humanity and warmth which leads us to be intoxicated or to fall into deep meditation.
His description of the scent of fruits, cups and the things cause us to have a desire to reach out them and pull out from a canvas and to feel them.
I urge you to feel his rich textures and colors
As a realist artist Bon Jeong Koo has been tried long time to replicate the depth and nature of the objects identified with the work rather than reality and the reality of the work put in the effort to express the duality. Through the series, "a retrospective of the day" by moving away from his usual hyper-realistic, color painting technique he introduced works that looks like old black and white illustrations with modern object which seemed unfamiliar and is not exactly real but looks real to the viewer.
