STAG Art Gallery announces the opening of
"Receptacles, Utensils and Tools" a group show running through January 5, 2003.
An opening reception will be held from 6PM to 9PM on Thursday, December 5, 2002.
The show explores extraordinary messages contained in familiar objects and each
artist's expression of his or her own intimate relationships to them. The
gallery is open between 11AM and 7PM, Thursday to Sunday, and accepts
reservations for private viewing. Details about the show, artists and gallery

Artists participating in "Receptacles, Utensils and Tools" include photographers
Julie Pochron, Andrew Pharmer and Pregdrag Dubravcic and painter Saundra
Schwartzkopf. Each will show how familiar objects are defined and redefined by
the context in which they are placed, and at every incarnation, provide insight
into our intimate relationships with them.
The STAG Art Gallery and its neighbor, 71 Clinton Fresh Food, are among several
new businesses along Clinton and Rivington Streets transforming this section of
Manhattan's Lower East Side. Interested parties can call Rory Beelek at
