On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, DNA Berlin is pleased to present an international programme featuring a book launch, panel discussion, performance and exhibition opening from 9 to 12 June 2011. In this context, the Japanese artists Tatsumi Orimoto will be showing new works in the exhibition entitled Life + Reality, includes photography, video and the performance Finger Dolls + Dirty Dolls.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, DNA Berlin is pleased to present an international programme featuring a book launch, panel discussion, performance and exhibition opening from 9 to 12 June 2011. More details on the programme will follow shortly. In this context, the Japanese artists Tatsumi Orimoto will be showing new works in the DNA Gallery from 10 June. The exhibition entitled LIFE + REALITY includes photography, video and the performance Finger Dolls + Dirty Dolls.
Tatsumi Orimoto (born 1946 in Kawasaki) studied at the California Institute of the Arts. In 1971 he moved to New York where he worked as an assistant for Nam June Paik and came into contact with the Fluxus movement. Due to the illness of his mother he returned to Kawasaki in 1977 where he lives and works today. His legendary performance Breadman was shown publicly in numerous countries, among others at the Sydney, São Paulo and Venice Biennials. DNA Berlin was opened with works by Tatsumi Orimoto 10 years ago.
