Photographic series "The body The Soul" is the project by Euro Rotelli within which he has visited 17 ballet houses around the world and has photographed 26 ballet dancers (Staatsballet Berlin, Stuttgarter Ballet, Saint Petersburg Ballet, New York City Ballet, Royal London Ballet, Balletto alla Scala di Milano, L'Opera Paris, Dutch National Ballet, Ballet Nacional de Cuba etc., SNG Opera in balet Ljubljana...).
Rotelli uses photographic media in specific way. With the interventions into polaroid development process and with multiple exposures he turns the photos of the dancers into nondescripitive photographic images with the dancing move, its elegance and dynamics in the forefront.
The exhibition in Ljubljana, organized by Galerija Fotografija Gallery, is also an acompaying event of the 4. Ljubljana Ballet days with the open air ballet shows in the Ljubljana city center.
The exhibition is supported by the City of Ljubljana and Italian Institute of culture in Ljubljana.
A catalogue will be published to accompany the exhibition.
