“Gráfika. 30 Artists from the Young Spain" is an essential guide to know the
main figures of street-art in Spain. The show includes graffiti, paintings,
installations, video, photographs, objects and several editions which serve to
explore the work by visual artists borned in the 70's and 80's in Spain.
These artists come from differents disciplines such as graffiti, painting, muralism
and illustration and arise in the Spanish urban and alternative scenes.
Curated by Mario Martín Pareja, the exhibition has ben shown in Amman (Jordan),
Beirut (Lebanon) and Bordeaux (France) and it will itinerate in 2012 to other
cities in Europe.
The artists in the exhibition are Rorro Berjano, Javier Calleja,
Alex Castaneda, Eltono, Fernando Elvira, Eme, Freak La Notte, Nuria Mora,
Sergio Mora, Daniel Muñoz (SAN), Nano4814, El Nino de las Pinturas, Okuda
San Miguel, Carlos Orta, Ima Pico, Silvia Prada, Pepa Prieto, Almudena
Rodriguez, J.J. Rosado, Gonzalo Rueda, Ruben Sanchez, Savage Girl, Seleka,
Marta Serna, Sixeart, SpY, Emilio Subira, Suso33, Anton Unai and Zosen.
After the success of "Usa Today. An Approach to the 21th Century American
Art", -visited by more than 20 thousand people in Spain, and "Gráfika.
A Collection of Prints by the Artists of Beautiful Losers", Contemporanea
mantaines its vinculation with this phenomenon named "Urban Art".
