Horsecross Arts is delighted to present Collections III: Works by
Women Artists—the final in a series of three exhibitions curated by
Iliyana Nedkova and featuring selected works from the permanent public
collection of contemporary art at Perth's Threshold artspace. The
works of over 200 Scottish and 100 international artists have been
exhibited since the artspace was officially unveiled in September
2005. 85 of these artists are now represented in the Horsecross Arts'
collection, home to 115 exclusively commissioned works. The series is
an endeavour to pause and reconsider our cultural heritage through
selected works by Scottish artists (Collection I), international
artists (Collections II) and women artists (Collections III). This
finale recreates 22 site-specific installations by 18 established and
emerging women artists commissioned and acquired for the collection
over the years. The installations are accompanied by the first ever
mini-retrospective of artist's films and videos by Mare Tralla. All
works are showing as curated loops at seven of the different 'project
