Carbon copies project
Carbon copies, a a project to offset the carbon emissions released in the production of contemporary artworks. The copies are representations of contemporary artworks, scaled according to the volume of carbon dioxide released in the production of the original work. The price of each Carbon Copy is the exact dollar amount required to remove this quantity of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through the purchase of certified carbon offsets. Carbon offsets fund projects that actively remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere or curb its release. The proceeds from the sale of each Carbon Copy will be converted into carbon offsets, and the carbon footprint of the original artwork erased. Opening: Friday, January 6, 6 - 8 PM.
