comunicato stampa

New End Art Foundation: Exhibit is an exhibition born out of personal experience. We founded the New End Art Foundation last year in response to the vast numbers of talented artists we encountered who were unable to produce their work or have it exhibited. In dedication to the next generation of young artists in London, we are showcasing an exhibition throughout April 2012 at the New End Art Gallery in Hamsptead.

The criteria for artists selected to exhibit were simple: a visceral reaction to their work and an elegantly articulated analysis. Artists have been included from a variety of backgrounds and schools, working across a diverse range of media.

In addition, it is also particularly important to New End to adequately represent female artists, the number of female artists given attention for the merits of their work alone - rather than their persona within the art world - remains disproportionately low. New End intends to help the next generation of artists to redress this imbalance, focusing on the quality of the work produced by female artists, rather than their gender.

Alongside furnishing artists with the opportunity to finance, exhibit and sell their work, New End gives young graduates the potential to practice – and share - their skills. To this end, we have also established a collective for young professionals to determine exactly what steps the current generation of emerging artists now need to succeed. Every element of New End is presided over by young graduates.
