A New Tahrir Square
Open Terrario
From 08 of May to 17 of June
OPEN TERRARIO. Selection of participating projects in the international call for ideas for the reinterpretation of Tahrir Square in Cairo.
To celebrate the launch of the revolutionary movement that was born and continues in Egypt, the ICARCH international design and architecture competition platform launched the call for A New Tahrir Square so that participants from all over the world could make suggestions, at all levels, for a new concept of Tahrir Square.
At this exhibit, we can enjoy and analyze the works that numerous teams from around the world submitted. In keeping with the popular revolutionary movement, the proposals were free and from a wide range of disciplines, to guarantee the most extensive representation and the freedom that characterized the Egyptian movement.
Through Miguel Moreno Mateos, the Estudio de Paisajismo GM3 has coordinated the exhibit, with support from a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

Factory of Authorless Cinema
Visibility in filmmaking process
From 08 of May
After several years’ experience with film practices in Madrid, the “Cine sin Autor” (Authorless Cinema) group is starting its adventure of building its first Factory. Intermediae will host the first stage of the project and will be the institution facilitating these first processes, located in the neighbourhood surrounding Matadero Madrid.
The CsA group intends to test its production methods on a larger scale, in order to make lend greater visibility to its filmmaking processes, which are participatory, horizontal and inclusive. We believe that these processes are the foundation of a new film production model in keeping with the 21st century.
The key to this methodology is that in all the phases of film production (script, shooting, editing, final cut and film management), the directors, protagonists and managers are non-professional people involved in the process, which is also open to anyone who wants to take part and intervene in these processes.
Cinema has left behind its old practices and turned into a social event. For three years now, we have been able to read the way the most contemporary texts and actions place the current moment as the origin of the Second History of Cinema.
