Everything blurs and bleeds, fades and falls into nothingness. Looking at the world with dread-tinted glasses exhausts the soul and fries the mind. I'd fire my optician, if I only knew where I was when these spectacles were fitted and who fitted them. This prescription does, however, give me sight. Not exactly the kind of sight I wish to wake up with every morning, but one that gives me glimpses of a world revealing its fleeting skeletal nature, its dark flowing rivers and estuaries, its hidden fiber and filigree. I pursue a faint glimmer, stumbling down a clear yet paradoxically foggy path. Like a moth to a nuclear reactor, I am drawn to its power and receive penance for unflinchingly following its veiled and beautiful glow.
