Vitra Design Museum, Weil am Rhein
Contemporary Dutch Design
In conjunction with its major retrospective on Gerrit Rietveld, Vitra Design Museum has invited five of the most innovative designers from the Netherlands to join a partner from the region in developing a design project. During the week of Art Basel from 12 to 16 June, these five projects will be installed by the designers in the Vitra Design Museum Gallery, so that visitors can observe the creation of the exhibition. The participating designers are Studio Wiki Somers, Lucas Maassen, Dirk Vander Kooij, Formafantasma, 2012Architecten and the graphic office catalogtree that created the exhibition design. The spectrum of partners ranges from a molecular biology laboratory of the firm Roche to the only female charburner in Switzerland.
