The paintings investigate her fear and fascination of all things airborne. Her obvious technical ability has lead to her receiving notable commissions. Karin is a graduate from the Edinburgh School of Art, gaining a first class degree before moving to Bristol. Taking a studio in Jamaica Street, a vibrant and pro-active collection of artist's spaces a short walk from the city centre, she began to refine and develop the ideas that had first formed in Scotland.
