Roy Lichtenstein's name became synonymous with the Pop Art movement, and his works stand today alongside those of his contemporaries such as Andy Warhol, as icons of American art in the 60s and 70s. The artist's characteristic comic strip, benday dot imagery has entered the collective subconscious as an instantly recognisable graphic aesthetic. This exhibition is drawn exclusively from the National Gallery of Australia's Kenneth Tyler Print Collection and includes newly restored and digitised, rare, candid photography and film components that reveal a fascinating insight into the artist's collaborative working methods in the creation of a number of his best known printed series (Image: Nude with blue hair, 1994.
