The exhibition Chromogenic 2012 is a showcase of talented Melbourne based photographers that embrace photographic
technology. ‘Chromogenic’, better known as a C-type photograph, is a medium that has, for the last 120 years or so,
made it possible for us to capture images the way our eye does and enabled us to share these images.
Photography allows
us to document a moment or a constructed theatrical setting. Having started my career as a photographic printer
I have a passion for the print; as the final place where a concept or moment is translated and displayed to the audience. It
is with my passion for the print and with the help of these generous artists that I bring to the public a show that has
something for everyone. But most importantly it presents a small group from a wonderful crowd of artists, ranging from
the very well established to emerging. Melbourne and Australia is lucky to have all this talent.
