Film and discussion evening with Jeff Rosenheim, Neil Selkirk and Marcel Feil
Foam and De Balie invite for a special discussion and film evening completely dedicated to Diane Arbus (1923-1971). Following this is the monumental retrospective of Diane Arbus at Foam. The programme focuses on this particular woman whose work revolutionized the photographic art. Exclusively for this occasion, two rare films about Diane Arbus are screened in the presence of two American guests. Jeff Rosenheim (photography curator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art) and Neil Selkirk (photographer and exclusive photo printer for The Estate of Diane Arbus LLC) will be in conversation with Marcel Feil (Foam). Screening: 'Who is Marvin Israel?' (2005, 42 min, English original version without subtitles). and 'A Slide Show and Talk by Diane Arbus' (1970, 40 min, original English version).
