The images it materializes stem from the abundant iconography that surrounds us until it becomes banal. Lucia Cristobal transcribes the charm of things that, visually, we could be used to see without realizing it.
The "Momentos" exhibition gives us a romantic vision of our times. The artist shows, through his paintings, that an airport runway has the same emotional intensity that a famous sunflower field from the last century has had. In his paintings, there are no more whirling birds or vases decorated with flowers: the "present" inspires helicopters, cars, highways and guns to him (simply, our daily routine).
Lucia Cristobal turns what our eyes are used to seeing into dynamic perspectives, both real and modern.
In his works, the technique is essential. The color of the oil painting vibrates to simulate the misty landscapes photographed in motion. In the “Momentos” exhibition, classic becomes modern while applied to surprising contemporary images: the nuances restore light and shadow.
Turning the noisy chaos into moments of silence during azure scenes, Lucia Cristobal paints romantic contemporary landscapes.

Lucia Cristobal (Segovia, Spain, 1984), licensed from the University of Fine Arts in Madrid (2011).
In 2008, she graduates in interior design at the School of Architecture at the University of Madrid.
Numerous scholarships then allows her to extend her studies:
In 2011, Landscape Scholarship of the residents of the Royal Academy of San Quirce (Segovia).
In 2010 Erasmus Scholarship at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Madrid and the Akademie der Bildendem in Munich (Germany).

In 2010, Scholarship at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University Complutense of Madrid.
In 2009, Sculpture award Grant, "color Matruchhaya" in the region of Gujarat (India), by the Ministry of Sculpture and the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Madrid.
Lucia Cristobal has had exhibitions in several European cities.
She has had works exposed in the Artevistas gallery since 2011, and will have her first solo exhibition in Barcelona, within Artevistas in 2012 : "Momentos".
