f******* Symposium, exhibition, concert and a newspaper campaign
In the media landscape the battle over a new, renewed, reborn, or doomed feminism seems more ferocious than ever. Frontlines run between aspiration and conscience, historicity and critique, prejudice and fear, complains and anger. The project f******* aims to analyse and discuss present and future battlefields on an interdisciplinary basis from different perspectives. The program consists of a three-day symposium, an exhibition, a concert, and a newspaper campaign. A project of Espace Surplus (Berlin) together with Goldsmiths University London in cooperation with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and Neuer Berliner Kunstverein n.b.k. Symposium at Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (Chausseestrasse 128/129) 1-3 February 2013. Group exhibition by Ingo Gerken, Timo Kloppel and Isa Melsheimer at Espace Surplus. Opening of the exhibition Friday, 1 February, 8pm. Concert at Clairchens Ballhaus Thursday, 31 January, 9pm: Christiane Roesinger (musician and author, Berlin; last record Songs of L. and Hate 2010).
